Duncan W. Alderson is the author of the Harper’s Bazaar Must-Read Magnolia City set in 1920s Texas. He began his writing career as a Mad Man dreaming up award-winning campaigns for the fashion store Sakowitz in hometown Houston. After a year abroad, he taught English and literature to high school students at the Toronto Waldorf School. Duncan’s proudest moment came recently when an ex-student christened him “a badass culture dude.”
