
Brenna Barr, Assistant to the Director/Agency Fellow
Originally from New York, Brenna studied Philosophy and Literature at Northeastern University in Boston . She is primarily interested in unique nonfiction and literary fiction, but remains open to ground-breaking stories of any genre. Some of her favorite authors are Peter Singer, Dave Eggers, Daniel Pinchbeck, Walter Kirn, and Muriel Barbery. Brenna is a founding member of the SOAR team.
Casey Nobile, Development Editor
Raised in the Deep South, her early appreciation of Faulkner and classic British literature became suffused with a passion for multi-cultural contemporary fiction as her education extended abroad. As a result, she is attracted to manuscripts containing vivid landscapes and ethnically diverse characters. Her writing and editing background is in literary fiction and poetry, but she is excited to work with authors whose writing speaks across genres. Besides being a bibliophile, she has strong interests in psychology, modern dance and Italian cuisine, her belief on all topics being that no technical success can be achieved without emotional risk. Casey is a founding member of the SOAR team.

Jamie D. Godfrey, Strategic Planner/Agent
Jamie brings business acumen and a wealth of experience from the private and nonprofit sectors to the Carolyn Jenks Agency. Most recently, Jamie helped to develop and execute a global corporate giving program for a major, international Wall Street firm. While Jamie is very good at giving money away, she is also quite good at asking for it. She played a key role in Fl orida’s largest University fundraising campaign helping to raise over $1B. Jamie has a keen eye for mystery and parenting, and personally finds parenting quite a mystery. She earned her BA with honors from Middlebury College. Jamie has edited Tristan -Axelrod's debut novel, Generation Stranger, and Being Dad, by Sam Holt and Troy Jones.

Tess Vander Heide, Agency Fellow on Leave/Reader
Tess is currently in Louisiana teaching for Americorps. She is writing, reading and playing the piano n her free time. After a year spent in Oxford she joined the CJA and worked in development with author Jane Ward.

Victoria Royal , Acting Art Director
VICTORIA is a senior at Wellesley College. She has studied mostly British literature. As an intern, she hopes to expand her interests to authors whose names aren’t Shakespeare, and who represent different, previously untold perspectives of the world through writing. Victoria is similarly interested in artists who show an unseen perspective of the world through their art, and as the acting Art Director, Victoria hopes to bring these artists forward to wider audiences. She is a member of the Robins Project for Theatre, Film, and TV at the Agency.

Jane Domino, Agency Fellow
Jane is a rising junior at Wellesley College, pursuing a major in French. An aspiring book editor, she has always been easily sucked into fiction of all kinds and is greatly looking forward to reading manuscripts and helping authors get published. Jane works for the Wellesley News as a copy editor and a contributing writer, and she enjoys doing crossword puzzles in her free time.

Kristina Ten, Social Media Specialist
Kristina is a senior at Emerson College, where she is pursuing a BA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing with a minor focus on Marketing Communications. Her favorite authors include Dave Eggers, David Foster Wallace, Salman Rushdie, Douglas Adams, and Barbara Kingsolver. She was born in Moscow, Russia and has since lived on both American coasts, but remains fluent in her native tongue. She is currently nearing the end of a four-year stint as a Division III volleyball player. An avid traveler and hyper-competitive Pictionary enthusiast, Kristina looks forward to broadening her knowledge and exposure of the agenting and acquisitions industry during her time at CJA.
Emily Frongillo, Literary Intern
Emily’s work as a member of Suffolk University’s lit. mag. (Venture) staff and her experience as a writing tutor allows her to bring a keen eye for detail to CJA. Her focus is on the art of crafting fiction. She enjoys literature that enlivens the past and digs into the human psyche. Among the writers who have influenced her are Sarah Waters and Anne Rice. Emily also serves as a core staff writer for a journalistic blog that reviews newly released film adaptations of books.

Andy Hughes, Agency Fellow
Andy is a published poet and reviewer who is a candidate at UMass-Boston for an MA in English. He has worked as an editorial intern, event coordinator, film crewmember, researcher, and bookstore employee, among other things. He organized and edited a mosaic fantasy novel for his senior project in college. He is excited to be engaging in the process of launching debut authors. He enjoys many different genres and styles, particularly speculative/experimental fiction, creative nonfiction, literary fiction, and short stories, and would love to be able to spotlight works that are challenging and inventive.

Ann Marie Monzione, Agency Fellow
Ann Marie is a fellow writer who loves to read poetic prose and stories that paint a picture of true human life from any angle. After majoring in Psychology and English at Suffolk University, she attended Boston College Law School and has worked as a litigating attorney for a fair number of years. She has enjoyed working with other writers in the North Shore Writers’ Collaborative, a group she founded in 2006. Ann Marie is finally pursuing a passion for great books and great writers, hoping to contribute to the collective effort to keep books alive and relevant in whatever form they may take.

McKey Carpenter, New York Dramatists' Scout
McKey Carpenter, a NYC based character actor, grew up in regional theater throughout the state of Massachusetts. He worked, not only as an actor and director, but also with stage design, lighting design and stage combat. Besides being a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and a member of their Company, he was a member of an Acting/Theatre training tour and attended workshops with: The Royal Shakespeare Company in London, The Globe Theater in London with Giles Block. He has also been privileged to study Shakespeare with Peter Francis James from Yale University. While studying at AADA, he was the in-house Technical Staff person at Theatre Row on 42nd Street. Raleigh Dugal
Raleigh Dugal graduated from the UMass – Dartmouth with a BA in English Literature and an MA in Professional Writing. He seeks authors from all walks of life with a profound work ethic, keen ear for dialogue, and the skill to artfully craft a story. He served as Development Editor for Brian Eames’ recently acquired young adult novel, The Pirate Quick. Open to works of any genre, he is currently representing country singer Jim Owen’s biography, and Tom Ribitzky’s debut novel, Treasury.

Pema Jenks, Most senior analyst, Eighteen years overseeing manuscripts, contracts, and author meetings with her brother, Robin,has earned her a place of respect and esteem.
