duncanDuncan Alderson’s debut novel, Magnolia City (Kensington Books) was inspired by photos of his mother as flapper in prohibition Texas. He spent ten years researching and writing this sweeping historical epic. Duncan hails from Houston, TX, where he studied history of art under Dominique de Menil. Duncan has taught literature in a Waldorf School, studied connoisseurship at Christie’s, and is the founder of the Rabbit Hill Writers’ Studio. He lives with his wife, art dealer Isabel Lark, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and New York City.
