Carolyn Jenks brings a professional background in publishing, theatre and film to her work as an agent. She combines those disciplines and her love of literature with the art of agenting.
She established her agency in New York City in the turbulent sixties after working for Ian and Betty Ballantine as their managing editor and as co-agent with Kurt Hellmer subcontracting foreign rights for William Morris, Inc.
Some of the writers she has worked for over the span of her career include: Ray Bradbury, Muriel Spark, Elizabeth Bowen, Iris Murdoch, Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall, Anita Diamant, Friedrich Duerenmatt, Shelagh Delaney, and Raul Hilberg.
Her home office is in Cambridge, Massachusetts where she continues to introduce new writers of all genres.
